The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued red alerts across multiple states. Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours.
Authorities have urged citizens to remain vigilant and have asked people living near riverbanks to evacuate to safer locations.
