Nidarshana Gowani Leads Kamala Trust’s Grand Tiranga Rally in Mumbai

Mumbai, August 15, 2026: On the occasion of India's 80th Independence Day, the Kamala Ankibai Ghamandiram Gowani Trust organised a vibrant Cultural & Historical Rally in Mumbai, bringing together people from diverse communities and regions to celebrate India's rich heritage, cultural diversity and spirit of unity. The rally was held from Kamala Mills to Worli Seaface.

The event beautifully reflected the spirit of 'Unity in Diversity', with participants showcasing the cultural traditions of Maharashtra, Punjab, South India, Gujarat and Kolkata through traditional attire, folk dances and vibrant cultural performances. The diverse presentations offered a glimpse into India's rich cultural landscape while highlighting the common bond that connects people across different regions and traditions.

The participation of Mumbai's iconic riders and dabbawalas added a distinct local character to the celebration, reflecting the city's unique identity, energy and spirit. The participation of Kinnar Maa Trust and members of the transgender community further strengthened the message of equality, inclusivity and equal participation in the nation's journey.

The event was graced by Shri Ramlal Ji, Aakhil Bharatiya Samparak Pramukh, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and Shri Parag Shah as Chief Guests. Their presence added significance to the Independence Day celebrations and reinforced the spirit of togetherness, national commitment and social harmony among the participants.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Ramlal Ji highlighted the significance of Independence Day and the responsibilities of citizens towards the nation. He emphasised the importance of strengthening national unity and social harmony.

Speaking on the occasion, Nidarshana Gowani, Trustee of the Kamala Ankibai Ghamandiram Gowani Trust, extended her greetings on Independence Day and said, "India's freedom was achieved through the sacrifices, dedication and courage of countless freedom fighters. Their contribution will always inspire generations to come. I believe our youth must draw inspiration from their lives and sacrifices and come forward to contribute meaningfully towards nation-building and the progress of our country.
